Summary
During an expedition to the site of ruins that balanced the border between fairy tale and legend, an underground basement accompanied with a library was discovered. Many shelves were crushed with rubble- whether it was the result of the war several years ago or the time in between then and present day, it is unclear- but left partially intact was a journal supposedly written by the Hand of the King of the Spruce Kingdom, better known in the stories as the Red King.
This publishing includes the transcribed contents of a journal entry, aligning with witness accounts of the night it snowed in spring time.

A witch’s domain is what they make of it.
Cleo’s very expansive definition of Time includes such disparate things as alternate universes (pretty much a synonym of alternate timelines), space (basically the same thing as time), explosions (energy, light, time, same difference), hexcasting (a pattern of meaningless shapes, ascribed meaning), and the fabric of narrative itself.
Or: How Cleo, Witch of Time, becomes far more powerful than is really necessary for the task at hand, finds a friend, obtains an apprentice, and breaks open the hourglass of self.
