Summary
When Sally notices the man with the sword chasing after a monster that was following her son, she obviously decides to follow him. At least she knows. Her son can make it and Poseidon was exaggerating. Demigods can make it to adulthood.
She turns to go back home and tries to feel energized about that. Her home should be a place of rest after all. But Gabe… She tried. She tried to love Gabe. At least as a friend. And he used to be a- not a good one but a better man than he is now and it feels like he’s been getting worse everyday. What’s even the point of having a man like that in their lives. She thinks this often and is always reminded of the monsters just waiting to hurt her son.
She stops suddenly and turns around to look at the building the older demigod disappeared into and sees the For Rent sign on one of the windows and her eyes narrow.
Either way she and Percy are going to be under the protection of a man that doesn’t know he’s giving it. She notes down the phone number on the sign and goes back to her day. She’ll call about price on a calmer evening.
Seth on the other hand, is just getting confused by the increased monster attacks.
