"What?!" Just how long had they been here? "T-there was nothing to interrupt!"
"Ah, forgive me. We had assumed admiring one's companion during his morning exercises was perhaps a common human custom."
Kaveh took a deep breath in an almost futile attempt to calm himself down from… who even knew at this point? The embarrassment of being caught ogling his roommate, or the simple fact that two literal gods had infiltrated his consciousness.
"My apologies, Lord Ibis King and…Goat King?"

Astarion must escape from Cazador at any cost. He hadn't known a moment's peace in two hundred years from the constant compulsion drawing him back to his master, until stumbling across a tavern that seemed to have appeared overnight on the busy streets of the Upper City. Curiosity getting the better of him, he steps inside and the life he knew before is entirely uprooted. Daring to hope for the first time in two hundred years, could the charming and mischievous aasimar barkeep with a tavern packed with secrets be the key to his freedom? Or will the celestial descendent see him as he has come to see himself; a monster in need of putting down.
This is a plot focused story with heavy, feral open door romance and some soft moments to balance out a fraction of the trauma this fic will entail. Consider it a fast burn in terms of smut but a slow, slow burn for a true relationship, similar to the game. This story will also contain original character party members. I know this may not be everyone's cup of tea in a fic, but as a long time player of DnD my love of character creation and the weaving of their stories simply must be sated.
