I wasn’t spontaneously teleported to another place. Monsters didn’t start pouring out of holes in the fabric of time. No otherworldly voice spoke words of wisdom or warning in my ear. Had I… had I hallucinated that whole debacle? Did I just imagine the world shifting three degrees sideways and tilting diagonally backwards? No one else was reacting to what had happened, so I had to conclude with a sort of grim resignation that I was obviously losing my mind.
Resolved to pretend nothing had happened, I took a step towards the door.

Summary
OR: The Witch Becomes Her Own Worst Enemy (in an Occupational Sense)
Due to contrived and largely arbitrary reasons, the Long Quiet has ended up outside of the construct, unable to save the world and slay the person he was sent to kill. But the construct requires someone to fill their role whenever possible in order to prevent it from failing entirely. So, the task of "slaying the Princess" falls on to the only other person available... which is the Princess herself.
This was a love story at one point. I'm not entirely sure that's still the case.

Slay the Princess but The Long Quiet instead of being an all encompassing decider is now 'The Stupid Quiet', an incredibly impulsive, bewildering, and of course dim-witted murder hobo who's only goal motto in life is 'fuck the consequences this sounds awesome'. Too bad because of that motto is going to result in that life being quite short lived. Thankfully unseen forces begrudgingly allow them to living in grim-dark groundhog day.
Follow The Stupid Quiet as they recklessly run into every situation with a grin on their face, a pristine blade waving through the air, and an entourage of narration and voices in their head who are in this with them regardless if they like it or not! (They don't)
However, when things quickly escalate to levels even our simple minded protagonist(?) could never foresee, will they actually learn a lesson and do the right thing? (Don't count on it)
