No, nervous was not even the word for it; it didn’t seem to start to describe the feeling of wanting to crawl out of his own skin every time he thought about everything that could and probably would go wrong. He didn’t do all this. He didn’t do dates, he didn’t do romance, and he quite definitely did not do domestic. But there he was. Looking at the mirror, making sure there was not a hair in his head going the wrong direction, making a mental checklist of all the things he planned on buying and were currently sitting in his fridge.

Your name is DAVE STRIDER and one day you wake up to find something is missing.
You don't know what. But you know that something was supposed to be there but isn't. It's suddenly hard to breathe and you stay perfectly still staring at the ceiling waiting for it to stop. But it doesn't. You get up and get on your computer. You stare at the date. 1 December 2014. You're sixteen years old. You know that. But for some fucking weirdass reason you can't bring yourself to remember the last few years. You remember bits. Strifing with bro, going to the movies seeing some shit movie because you're bored, stealing your first beer, spending Christmas playing some My Little Pony game because that shit is ironic, son. But none of it feels real. You can't explain why but everything just feels so disconnected and weird. It almost feels like the memories of another Dave were suddenly yours and everything you did is just... Gone.

Holy shit, Shouto is glad he came out tonight.
