Summary
During a mission that seemed to be going fine, Sonic suddenly finds himself unable to sleep. As the hours pass, the situation becomes more and more dangerous. Concerned, Shadow searches for a way to help, only to find himself facing a different problem entirely when Sonic begins saying things he was never meant to hear, stirring up feelings he was never meant to feel.

Summary
Sonic can usually handle most things life throws at him. He's a hero; he's built to run for hours on end, to fight with injuries that would take down any normal, non-Chaos-filled Mobian. He's the Hero of Mobius. But sometimes, it's all a bit too much for his body to handle. Actually, not just 'sometimes'–recently it feels like his body's left bruised and broken after every little fight or scuffle. Sparring with his partner has him aching for days. Running for a bit too long in the hot sun causes him waves of dizziness and nausea he wouldn't wish on his worst enemies– not even Eggman.
Of course, he brings none of this up to anyone. Instead, he pushes through, because surely it's just a fluke, right? Surely this streak of poor health and exhaustion isn't permanent, and therefore he should NOT be concerned…right?

Summary
Sonic was never a typical Alpha. Too laid back, not as dominant or commandeering as some thought he ought to be. Not that he cared, as long as he was able to enjoy life one rut at a time.
