Sybil finds herself back in her childhood home after the burning of Drumgoole Castle put an abrupt end to their simple but fulfilling life in Dublin, and her husband's life too. Now, she's once more trapped in an existence without purpose, fighting for any shred of individuality.

Much still has to happen to form him into the man he will be then: he isn’t yet heir to his cousin’s estate in Ulster and has never even heard of the Earls of Grantham. The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries doesn’t exist yet. And if it did, he wouldn’t be working for them – Lieutenant Charles Blake is perfectly content with his fate as an officer in His Majesty’s Royal Navy.
Half a decade before he'd serve on the Iron Duke alongside men like Admiral Jellicoe and Sublieutenant Foyle – who would later become Lord Gillingham – his duty leads him aboard the light cruiser HMS Penelope and into the company of her captain. Summary
Die Serie folgt zwei Geheimagenten im Dienste der Bundesrepublik, Adam Schürk und Leo Hölzer, auf ihrem Weg von zutiefst verfeindeten Agenten zu vielleicht doch nicht so ganz verfeindeten zu vielleicht ein bisschen verliebten bis sie schließlich am (fr)enemies-to-lovers-Ziel ankommen... zwei absolut verknallte Top-Agenten, die für den jeweils anderen alles tun würden.
Vorerst ist die Serie an einem Ende angekommen.
Im letzten Teil der Serie, "Verfeindet in allen Einsatzlagen" findet man frühere Missionen, die in den anderen Teilen hin und wieder angesprochen werden.
