“Yuu-”
The voice breaks on his name. There’s a thin wobble of concern in his voice, overlaying a hunger so raw that Yuu can taste it. Mika’s crimson eyes are wild when Yuu catches them. He’s staring at Yuu like he’s no more than something to devour, to consume wholly and completely, leaving no scraps for even the scavengers.
The pain coursing through Mika’s body is audible in the way he’s whining. An inhuman sound clawing its way out of his throat. The sound makes every hair on Yuu’s body stand on end. He has a bone deep urge to run. An instinctual need to flee from the predator before him.

Sword practice goes wrong and Mika can't control his hunger when Yuu gets injured.
Yuu needs to find a way to convince his friends that Mika isn't the monster they think he is.
