“What did you just say?” Munson stares at him like he’s grown a second head– like something has replaced the real Jason Carver and is wearing his skin.
“Uh- good morning?” Jason says dumbly. He just wanted to be nice to the guy, but now he sort of feels like this is worse than being a jerk.
“Good…morning…” Munson seems to test the words on his tongue, a slight disbelieving quirk of his lips, “Sure, Carver. Good morning.”

Summary
A season 4 rewrite (that will most likely lead into a season 5 rewrite if I finish this) in which I set out to do three things.
1: Make RoNance happen as soon as possible (not actually, I'm pacing myself, much to my own chagrin)
2: Explain how the Upside-Down could work because all of the half-baked explanations in season 5 made me wish they had done it well. (Note, the inspiration for doing this in the first place, as well as a lot of my conclusions come from gaystarfishnani's "Video Killed the Radio Star", so if you find any of this interesting, please go pay their fic a visit.

A familiar, breathless voice picked up and said, “Steve I told you I am fine. I am staying here over winter break because I’m still poor, not because I’m depressed. Please stop calling.”
Nancy waited for a beat as the smile hit her face.
“Sorry to disappoint.” Nancy said. The phone crackled with background static as Robin paused just for a moment.
“Nancy?’
