"I kill so others don't have to," Bruce states firmly and clearly. This entire situation didn't seem like it could get any more bizarre, what with Bruce sitting in the dark and polishing guns, but somehow it just has, "While you are here you will not kill."
Jason's throat is scratchy and dry with terror, but the insatiable feeling of being talked over and disregarded is a fresh wound. He can't back down from this if he tried, "I've killed. I still kill. Who the fuck do you think you are to stop me?"
Bruce gently sets down his gun, and picks up the blade beside him with practised ease. Jason's blood runs cold when the man wearing his father's face says, "You will die by my hand if you try."
(Jason meets a version of Bruce who has manifested his fears very differently.)

Summary

While the two do not get along at first, they find themselves drawn to each other in the middle of a war zone all while trying to expose and capture a terror cell involved in drug trafficking and illegal arms deals in the capital, Kandor City. The dragon has three heads.
Daenerys had been taught about dragons, about her family history and the great beasts they rode. About their thick hides and near impenetrable scales. About their horned heads and fanged maws that can spit fire at a moments notice. About their leathery wings which sounded like the roar of thunder with each beat.
She had never been taught about them having multiple heads. The three headed crimson dragon of her House's flag was to represent Aegon and his sister-wives, of the three dragons they used to bend the Seven Kingdoms to their knees. It was figurative.
But this one she cradled to her breast had three heads at the end of its sinuous serpentine necks. The crown of each head was dotted with small, barely-there horns with more along the length of the spine. There were also two tails, the barbed tips curling around her forearm like a babe clinging to its mother's finger. Its scales shone like gold, glittering through the ash coating its body.

Summary
When she met Clark she learned a lot of things. One thing she learned is that aliens were real, and sometimes they wore capes, and sometimes they saved cities. Another thing she learned is that clouds don't feel like much of anything other than mist, but somehow it's what she looks forward to the most when flying. Also, flying makes you feel like you're in a movie and you have the power to pause to commit it to memory. Although, it's never the same each time. So, that is to say, Lois has a lot of memories. She remembered flying alongside seagulls, and she learned that Metropolis is more beautiful from up above.
Before all of that though, she learned that falling in love was never an option, and it was a mystery that'd never get solved because the variables are always changing. What does she blame next? Her impulsivity because she couldn't resist? Or her trust issues because this is terrifying? And trust issues led to commitment issues. She knew that she was the problem but now she's starting to wonder if there's a problem with being too self aware and creating problems that don't even exist yet.
But, why make him go all this way for nothing?

Something is wrong.
This is the first thing Amélie Lacroix thinks, as she’s lying in bed, staring out the window and wishing she had a ground level apartment.
Gérard is out on ‘business ventures’, and she's been left alone for the next week. Of course, he has to leave on the one day she has to rest. After a particularly difficult performance last night, leaving her falling into bed with half a face of make-up still on.
She didn't want him to leave this morning. Something about it was off, a sense of wrongness in her gut that only twisted and tightened like a knife in her chest as she watched him drive off into the dark.
