But when an attempt to salvage more than a Pyrrhic victory lands her in 1944, she quickly realizes that sometimes it is best to allow a lesser evil to flourish, because defeating it only creates the conditions for a greater one to rise. With conspiracies, schemes, and difficult choices in every corner, and a charismatic young Tom Riddle who is increasingly interested in her, she will eventually have to answer the question: How much darkness and grey in him can she accept?

Summary
Please mind the trigger warnings.
Draco Malfoy hadn’t expected to ever see Hermione Granger again. Six months after the war, with Harry Potter dead and the Malfoy name barely spared from Azkaban, Draco returns to Hogwarts for a memorial ceremony he has no intention of attending. Instead, he finds Hermione alone, pregnant, and grieving.
Draco is forced to confront what his family knew, what they ignored, and how deep the rot in his own house truly went.
For Hermione Granger, the war did not end when Voldemort fell, and for Draco Malfoy, the greatest mercy he can offer may be staying far away from her.“So you did nothing.”
“Yes. I did nothing,” he snapped. “I was sixteen, and I did nothing. Then I was seventeen, and I did nothing. Then I stood in a courtroom while people called what I did brave because I failed to identify you properly. I did the smallest decent thing possible after years of cowardice, and they let me live for it. So no, Granger, I don’t expect you to think me innocent. I don’t even expect you to think me human most days.”
She blinked at him, her eyes glassy and unseeing.
"Come have tea at the manor."

Seven years after Albus Dumbledore met his end in the Astronomy Tower, Voldemort still holds the European wizarding world in a death grip.
Hermione alone is the only person to have ever escaped Voldemort's dungeons at Hogwarts, though she can't bring herself to remember how. Summary
When Dumbledore is found dead—poisoned—the Ministry goes on high alert. Returning for seventh year under wartime security measures, Hermione Granger is caught off guard when her academic rival, Draco Malfoy, offers to teach her restricted magic in secret.
Soon, whispers about the nature of their relationship run rampant, and students grow wary of the seemingly dangerous pair. As the war closes in, Hermione and Draco are drawn deeper and deeper into an obsession that threatens to consume them—and anyone caught in their orbit.
“Are you ashamed, Granger?”
“Yes,” she whispered, letting her eyes fall closed.
“Why?”
It was no use pretending, he’d know if she lied.
“Because I think—I think maybe I’ll go to hell for this.”
He stiffened. Only for a moment. Then his lips pressed to her throat. His voice was lower when he spoke, rasping against her.
“We’re already in hell.”Part 1: Hogwarts 7th Year

Summary
Draco Malfoy can successfully manage a multi-million-Galleon property empire and out-negotiate the sharpest legal minds in the Wizengamot. He is entirely competent. What he is not competent at is negotiating with a fiercely stubborn five-year-old who possesses his own silver-grey eyes, and an absolute obsession with a stuffed dragon named Neville.
When an ancient bloodline audit reveals Hermione Granger’s five-year-old secret, Draco's pristine life is thoroughly upended. Suddenly, he is trading his tailored robes for absurd Muggle clothes, losing battles to an enchanted cookbook, and desperately trying to navigate the agonizingly complex world of toddler tantrums.
How is Wizarding Britain's most brooding wizard supposed to learn fatherhood on the fly when his son prefers Harry Potter’s shoulders, demands Ron Weasley's stories, and the boy’s mother would quite literally rather eat her own wand than give Draco a second chance?

Summary
Grindewald fell in 1950: the five years in which he still held sway changed the course of history. Wizarding Britain, terrified at threats to the Statute of Secrecy, decided in the late 50s to pass the Muggleborn Wizarding Appropriation Act, which took muggleborn children from their parents at the first incidence of accidental magic. Children could be fostered or adopted by wizarding families, or would live in Wizarding Institutional Houses. Some Pureblood families took things a step further and decided to foster children in case they only had one heir to act as a sibling, companion, and stand-in for punishments deemed too harsh for their own children. If the muggleborn did well, they reasoned, it meant they had earned their place in the wizarding world.
Hermione Granger is such a child, chosen at a young age to be Draco Malfoy's companion. She's an ideal muggleborn: polite, intelligent, and capable. It's not until she attends Hogwarts that someone sees her potential. She becomes the favorite of a certain professor, who sees her power for what it is.
Meanwhile, Lucius Malfoy is embroiled in Wizarding politics, influenced by his sister-in-law's mad manipulations.

Summary
The study reasserted itself - exactly as it always was, and yet somehow thinner and inadequate. The shadows in the corners seemed darker. The air felt colder against his face. The silence of the Manor pressed back into place like a lid.
He straightened slowly, one hand resting flat against the desk to steady himself.
His mind went searching again for an explanation, but it skidded over the same bare facts and found nothing to catch on.
Two strands. Two scenes. Hermione Granger, in both.
He should destroy it.
He knew, with the same cold clarity with which he knew the proper order of cutlery, that he ought to take the basin and overturn it into the fire, watch the strands evaporate, and be done.
He did not move.
