This is an extensive series of consecutive arcs based on the 2023 Febuwhump challenge that has become a massive anthology following Doc and the boys. Summary
Kaiya, Skyrim's hot mess of a Dragonborn with a tortured past and a drinking problem, finds herself lost and in need of purpose after handling the Alduin threat. After some well-timed and clever pleas from Brynjolf, she decides to come out of her debauchery filled retirement and join the Thieves Guild. When she meets the dark and brooding Guildmaster, her purpose becomes clear: make that sexy SOB fall in love with her. Little does she know, she's joining the guild and tempting the Guildmaster at the worst possible time...
This story is my attempt to answer the challenge of "is it possible to write Mercer Frey into a Byronic hero?" I don't claim ownership of any of the characters in this story except Kaiya, and I tried to stick to canon as much as possible throughout. As I wrote this story, I imagined that anyone reading it would have a basic knowledge of the game and specifically the Thieves Guild questline, so that I could just write in the gray areas and not retell the story everyone already knows. My heroes are flawed and tragic, and are by no means healthy, but I hope you come to love them as much as I do.

She didn't look at him, studying her tea cup. It was fine bone china, with a delicate pattern of dogwood vines. It was far nicer than any china she'd ever owned. Had she ever owned anything so nice, she'd have been too nervous to use it even for the fanciest of occasions, let alone a normal breakfast. He'd introduced himself as a Baron, once upon a time. She wasn't conversant in European titles, and wasn't entirely sure what country he was from, but she was pretty sure Baron meant some kind of royalty.
If given a choice, a gilded cage with china tea cups and high thread count sheets was preferable to a windowless cell and an air mattress.
"Pierce must really want that serum," Amanda murmured.

For SSA Victoria "Tor" Beauregard, having everyone like her is the key to her survival. If they like her, they won't look closely enough to see the shadow looming over her past. So, whatever it takes to get her grumpy boss to like her, she will do it. Even if it means staying late every night to help him with his paperwork.

Summary
Marane Lachance is the direct descendent of Lucien Lachance, and she has a lot to live up to as far as fulfilling her family's legacy. She seeks out and joins the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim, but finds it to be a shadow of what it once was, and she becomes determined to rebuild it from the ground up. But, there are dangers afoot, and not everyone appreciates her being there, trying to fix what they think isn't broken. Marane knows better, she only needs to convince her new family of what serving Sithis can really be like.
