Ashes of the Greater good is the most poetically written thing that isnt an actual poem that I have ever read. Reading it is delightful and that is without taking the story into account.
The story is also very well done, well thought out, no loose ends and every piece connects.

This work is a rewrite from year six onwards. Certain events, and the timing of events have been changed to fit in with the storyline. The story concludes in 2014.
It is essentially a love story, with an element of fluff and banter. It revolves around the development of a secret romance that blossoms after a repentant pureblood wizard plucks up enough courage to not only betray his upbringing, his heritage and Voldermort, but seek help from the Golden Girl herself.

Great character banter, mystery. People are having their magic stolen. Hermione Weasley is unhappily married, so is Ron. Draco is mediocrely engaged. Both work at hogwarts now to escape their weights and learn to live. At least that's my interpretation.

Summary
Life hadn't been turning out the way Marinette had hoped. Instead of art school, she has found herself working as a barista in a quirky, little coffee shop and rarely able to make ends meet. She had faced disappointments that had left her cynical of society around her, but all she could do about it was protest the injustices with the only weapon left to her - inspiration, spray paint, and a blank wall.
As the underground street artist Ladybug, she comes into conflict with another tagger, Chat Noir, over their turf and subject matter. All of this would have been slowly winding Marinette up, that is, if it wasn't for the stiff, standoffish man who came in regularly for an obscenely sugary drink and left napkin doodles behind.

Summary
Despite being cursed by Plagg' ring, Felix has accepted his role as Chat Noir over the last few years of fighting side by side with Ladybug - even if he has trouble accepting that he can't seem to win his partner's heart. He may not be happy with his life as a model for his father or that his mother disappeared when he was young or that he doesn't have any friends, but he has walled himself in so the world can't bother him anymore and he is satisfied with his lot.
It isn't until an akuma leads them through a nightmare version of Paris and Ladybug nearly dies that those walls start to crack and Felix finds himself needing someone to help hold him together as he battles not just akumas, but strange manifestations of the cat miraculous as well as his own alter ego.
Who better to piece him back together that Marinette Dupain-Cheng?

What he didn't expect was a tiny French firecracker who seems to be keeping too many secrets about why exactly she keeps showing up at all the same places as Jason, and who has downright alarmingly unconventional and unorthodox fighting skills. It's obvious to him that she's an agent on behalf of some third player on this game-board, but Jason isn't certain who.
All he knows for sure is that somehow, this little pixie is going to be the death of him.

By the time Marinette finished, she almost had Lila pressed up against the bathroom wall, and with every word the akuma moved closer and closer to her.
Lila seemed scared, her posture small, but then she sighed, straightened up, and the performance dropped, “Alright.”
Marinette froze, her anger, her frustration, all of it almost seemed to vanish. Shock and confusion replacing it, “…What?”
