Summary
It was common for him to monitor Yue Qingyuan for familiarities of old. For something that was purely Yue Qi, and not Cang Qiong Sect Leader/Head Disciple of Qiong Ding Peak/The Xuan Su Sword. In fact, Shen Jiu sat in the cave of Shen Qingqiu's heart, sharpening shivs made of bamboo, waiting to carve Yue Qi out of Yue Qingyuan's soft parts whenever the opportunity arose. It just hadn't quite. Not yet.

Summary
Liu Qianggui is a normal personal assistant for a legal department. She has normal hopes and dreams, and doesn't have missions assigned to her by a thing called a System, that urges her to protect two very specific men - her boss, and another, whom no one else in her life seems to know exists.
She doesn't need rescuing. She's doing fine on her own.

"Do you need meals prepared?" Luo Jiangxue asked, sounding somewhat eager despite the cool professionalism he was radiating out of every pore. Dark eyes nearly sparkled in his direction.
"No," er-ge's cold voice cracked through their conversation like an ice breaker in the North Atlantic.
"Ahem," Shen Yuan's face was a little rictus in its grin, deliberately not looking over at his brother. "We had not budgeted for that, and I have a pretty strict diet for the moment --"
"For the rest of your life," er-ge chimed in again, like a funerary gong.
Shen Yuan, after suffering hospitalization and concurrent surgery, is strong-armed by his family into getting a live-in nurse while he recovers. Luo Jiangxue has excellent credentials, is kind, if a bit young, and seems perfectly qualified. Shen Yuan has no idea why his older brother hates the guy on sight, but can they at least have their weird tension-filled staring contests in their off-hours?? Shen Yuan just wants to recuperate, and fast, so he doesn't have to suffer through the mortifying ordeal of being nursed.
It's not like anything else is going on.

There was an alert in his HUD, which he ignored.
"You better get a move on," Rex's voice murmured in his ear.
"I'm not done," he returned the air for words short in his lungs, and ducked, kicking backward into someone's chin. Another brief warmth as kinetic energy hummed above his skin.
"You're done when I say you're done, remember?" Rex responded, matter-of-fact. "You got what we could get. Now hustle, or Fox gets to arrest you."
His eyes darted up. There was enough space - the ceiling was high enough to scale and punch out a window.
"Don't tempt me," he muttered."The smug alone will kill you," Rex countered.

Yue Qingyuan does not quite recall how he got to the other side of the camp, only that a dozen bodies are piled on top of him before he can leave it.
While he does love a good dogpile, he finds this one to be extremely inconvenient.“Zhangmen-shibo, why don’t we think about this rationally,” Ming Fan pleads somewhere to his left.
“You can’t just barge in there and start swinging,” Shen Yuan says on the right.
Yue Qingyuan seethes under the weight of this little portion of Qing Jing Peak and deeply regrets not sending Bai Zhan’s warriors to deal with this matter instead.
Liu Qingge wouldn’t think twice about clearing a path to a nobleman’s fiery ruin.
(AU where Shen Jiu Lives - Yue Quinyuan begins to receives volumes of a book series written by an anonymous author. The story follows a nameless lord's obsession over a slave who tried and failed to murder him and ended up back in his grasp. Soon after these books start appearing, the kidnapping of several young girls draws the Sect's attention to a school for artists just beyond the southern border, where fiction and reality are only a stone's throw apart.)

Summary
Liu Qingge screws up his beautiful face and, with the grace of a child dared to touch a particularly slimy newt, lurches forward to lift the red door’s heavy knocker. He raps it twice, then scurries back to take cover behind Shen Qingqiu’s arm.
Shen Qingqiu stares. First at Liu Qingge, then at the bird overhead.
“Are you unwell, shidi?” He asks.
“You said you’d defend my honor,” Liu Qingge says.
“Against what?”
(Liu Qingge is called back home to his family estate to meet a suitor and get married; he doesn't want to go and the sect can't afford to lose him, so Yue Qingyuan comes up with a plan to convince the Liu family that Liu Qingge is lost beyond all hopes of saving. Shen Qingqiu volunteers to play the role of Liu Qingge's despicable fiance without a thought as to what might happen when the jig is up.)

He also promptly began overworking himself, unable to shake the feeling that he's competing with his past self, comparing his new body to the old one and finding it lacking.
Jiang Cheng knows a little something about feeling second best to Wei Wuxian.

He’d thought it was going well. In fact, Jiang Cheng had been feeling increasingly smug about how it was going; they’d see the value of Yunmeng, when he was done with them.
