Summary
This story is an attempt to explore the meaning behind Saito's prophetic words, 'We will be young men together.' It was such a strangely intimate and positive thing to say, considering the circumstances and it's been bothering me (i.e., burrowing into my imagination). And since it sort of drives me crazy when a main character isn't given a full name, I gave Saito the given name of Masahiro. I'm sure, if there's a sequel, that will change.
