Summary
As Lan Wangji stared at the lonely candle on his cake, he made a wish: to have a friend he could share this new stage of his life with.
Despite his freedom, Lan Wangji had stuck too strictly with some of his rules and spent too much time in his room studying. He needed to go out, study somewhere else, try new cafés and eat outside more often. He needed to talk to new people too — that was the only way he could make friends.
So, with this thought in mind, he blew the candle, engulfing him in darkness. His wish remained the same, but he would do his part to make it come true.
Or: Lan Wangji is living in a city far from his family. In his attempts to make new friends, he makes a special connection with the new barista in his favorite bubble tea shop.

Summary
The only answer he got was a quiet "Mn" before Lan Wangji's hands circled his waist and shifted Wei Wuxian until he was comfortably on top of him — with Wei Wuxian's head pressed to his chest, right over his heart. What did all this mean? Was this really just the effects of the alcohol, or was Lan Wangji being completely honest about everything?
What was he trying to convey with that gaze of his? What had he meant by "mine"? By "I want it"? What did he want?
"Does he want me?"

Summary
"I don't want your suggestions, I already have a beloved," Hua Cheng said, his tone sounding more annoyed, and Xie Lian too sighed heavily. This conversation again…
"Ah, so it is true! I thought it was just rumors going around. But do we know her? How could we make sure you're not making this up to get off the hook?" The lady pushed, and Xie Lian couldn't let this keep going any longer. Just as he was about to say something, Hua Cheng spoke up.
"My beloved is-" Hua Cheng cut himself off with a hand up to covering his mouth, holding onto it tightly.
Before, when Hua Cheng had talked about his past and those few other comments he made, he looked surprised that he'd said them at all. Now, he looked terrified.
"Something is definitely wrong" Xie Lian thought.
Or: Hua Cheng accidentally drinks a truth serum and a lot of things he meant to keep hidden come to light.

“Ah, I’m sorry Your Majesty… I wasn't paying attention,” He felt embarrassed saying that out loud, but what was he supposed to do? He felt like he was about to faint.
“It’s ok Xian Le,” Jun Wu said with a placating smile, letting go of Xie Lian’s elbow and Xie Lian felt himself relaxing instantly, “You are free to decline this mission, and I will assign it to someone else.”
“I can handle it.” Xie Lian said almost automatically.
“Very well. I need you to go to Ghost City and look for any clues about Hua Cheng’s weaknesses. He has been causing too much trouble lately and we can’t risk having him around anymore.”
Xie Lian felt the pulsating feeling on his head again, “Hua Cheng?” He asked under his breath.
Or: Xie Lian is assigned with the important task of finding a way to disperse Hua Cheng, only… He can’t bring himself to do it, even if it was an order from Jun Wu himself.

“Ah- I’m ok. Don’t worry,” Xie Lian stuttered as he saw the man, looking even more handsome up close, “It’s just a scratch, nothing serious.”
“How can it be nothing?” The young man asked, his smile slipping for a second before going back to how it was, “Let me take care of your injuries. You got hurt because of me after all.” He said as his smile turned into a teasing grin, now looking more genuine.
Xie Lian’s face turned red again, hearing this from the man himself, “Ah, you shouldn’t…”
“Gege, I insist,” The young man said with a charming grin, clearly not taking “No” for an answer.
Or: 5 times “General Hua” got hurt and San Lang got upset about it, and the one time it was the way around.
