For a moment, he thought he’d misheard. His eyes narrowed slightly, lips pressing into a thin line. “...Gothic?” he repeated, tone dangerously flat.
“Yeah! You know, black coat, turtleneck, that intense stare—very Gothic vibes!” the boy said cheerfully, as if describing a compliment rather than an insult.
Akutagawa stared at him in silence for a few beats. Was that really how people saw him? A gothic boy wandering around buying flowers?
