Summary
Summer 2013: Michael meets Yoichi—a boy from Japan visiting Germany during school break. They form a bond, but it is brutally broken when Yoichi suddenly disappears from Michael's life.
2019: Kaiser, a member of New Gen 11 and striker for the Bastard Munchen Youth Team, comes to Blue Lock after seeing his old friend, Isagi, on TV. He wants to face him and asks a single question: "Why did you leave me?". But, surprisingly, Isagi doesn't seem to recognize him.

Kaiser can’t take his eyes off of him.
Perhaps that’s why he agrees to this outrageous experiment people around them label as a relationship. Perhaps that’s why Isagi had proposed it in the first place. An exercise in curiosity - after all, their chemical reactions have always produced something new.
When he had said yes, though, haughty smirk in place because that is habit, that is familiar, he hadn’t anticipated that it would some day land him on a couch in the Isagi family house, treated to front row seats of baby Yoichi’s home videos."

'“Kaiser,” he starts to say, “I’m sorry if I’m overstepping, but are you really okay?”
And he’s not sure, even afterwards, what it is that makes this his breaking point.
Whether it’s the fact that he’s so far away from home, feeling like he’s unmoored himself from reality in this surreal, unfamiliar place, or whether he’s just so tired, so defenceless without the fire burning through him and its fumes obscuring the things he does not want to handle.
He’s not sure, if it’s because Isagi is the farthest thing from a friend or the closest thing he has to familiarity right now, but he hears himself say, “My father died,” out loud, for the first time since he got the news.'
