Summary
Alhaitham has a lot of enemies.
Kaveh doesn’t doubt that his life is in moderate danger. He’s not stupid, only annoyed and becoming increasingly more miserable as the days drag on. It’s been three months, and Alhaitham still hasn’t found a person to transfer the title to. He’s made at least three meals every day to feed both of them. He carefully inspects every ingredient with his Dendro Vision before he buys it. He hasn’t gone out at night without a highly-ranked Matra tailing behind. He checks the lock twice when he goes out and when he turns in for the night, even after Alhaitham has already done it.
That’s the only pleasure he takes from this experience; Alhaitham has to follow the same restrictions that he put on Kaveh. It’s unfortunate that Alhaitham is as emotionally stunted as a frog and doesn’t express his discontent as jovially as Kaveh does.
Due to his close association with Alhaitham, Kaveh has an angry red target on his back for all the people Alhaitham has ever made an enemy of to aim for. If anyone wants to hurt Alhaitham, they would have to do it through Kaveh.

Summary
It's common knowledge in the Heavens that gods are not supposed to interact with humans outside of answering prayers, and they're definitely not supposed to show up in person and talk to a child. But Xie Lian isn't afraid of breaking rules that he's already broken, so he does it anyway. In fact, he takes it one step further and brings the child home.
Basically, Wei Wuxian's parents died in a night hunt when he was five, but he ends up being adopted a year later by a god and his ghost king husband, so it's not all bad.... In fact, it's probably better than it should be.
