Summary
Third year arrives with the news that Harry's maniacal murderer of a godfather has escaped Azkaban, and is apparently after Harry. Paired with the anxiety that induces for him, it dredges up a lot of feelings about his parents he's tried to bury. Dementors at Hogwatrs make every bad feeling amplified, and Draco's adoption papers STILL aren't going through.
Couple all that with confusing feelings and even more confusing patroni, and third year is set to be a treat.

Regulus is terrified of loving people, because he always loses them. They leave, or they hate him, or they only love him conditionally.
Maybe that's why he's so frightened when he falls wholly and truly in love with James Potter. But James is stubborn, and he's hellbent on getting Regulus out of his parents house and away from all of their pressuring and abuse.
The scariest thing is, Regulus lets him.

Harry and Draco are best friends. They understand each other on a deep level and care about each other greatly. Starting second year was supposed to be fun! They'd both had a great time over the summer and spent all their time together.
But when a mysterious voice is heard around the castle and people start being petrified, they realise that Hogwarts may not be as safe as advertised. On top of that, neither of them had managed to come out to their families and Draco's adoption papers are still not going through.
As the boys grew closer, their lives only got more chaotic.
And Gilderoy Lockhart was *really* annoying.

Summary
Severus was sent to check on Harry Potter, and what he discovered infuriated him. He whisked him away from his relatives in a flurry of hugs and lollipops and orange juice. At Dumbledore's bequest, Harry was sent to the Burrow, where everyone was lovely, but he couldn't help but feel sad. He missed Severus, who had saved him and been kinder to him than anyone else in his life.
And Severus? Well, his house felt emptier than ever once the child had left.

Summary
Draco always knew he was different. Everything was louder, stronger, scratchier and generally more awful for him than it seemed to be for the others in his life. He could sit and concentrate forever on a single thing for hours, but if he wasn't interested he was fidgety and flighty. He didn't know what it was that made him like that, but he knew his father didn't like it.
Harry grew up surrounded by love. He had his Dad, Severus, who had loved him and cared for him since he was a baby. Hardy didn't have many friends or opportunities to make them, but he was hopeful to make good friends at Hogwarts.
Harry and Draco meet in a shop. Draco is shocked by how kind and accepting Harry is- Harry finds Draco strangely alluring, and immediately wants to be his friend.
Through tears and meltdowns, pain and grief, the two boys find moments of solace in each other and forge a bond that is as unique as it is dangerous. In a world where being queer is basically a crime, will this relationship survive though the second wizarding war?
