Wings of Birds and Dragons
She has had many names that were given to her over the years, but none are her rightful name. She has been auntie to many children, lover to many men, and a loyal servant to princesses and princes. At the Great Council she finally finds a piece of her past, and begins to search for more. Family, friends, a home, all the things she lost. Summary
Trust is not an easy concept for a drow that grew up watching her fellows scratch and claw their way to power at the whim of a cruel goddess. Trust is also not an easy concept for a vampire spawn who has spent two centuries under the thumb of a capricious master. Manipulation and clawing for power are concepts they both understand, but neither of them have any clue how to deal with vulnerability and genuine connection.
