“Turn around,” the voice drawled, low. He could feel its breath on his back. Battat couldn’t move.
“You’re hilarious,” it continued, laughing under its breath. It seemed to be closer to his ear, now, as Battat could viscerally feel the rumble of its voice. It almost felt like purring. “You’re more than happy to run yourself ragged, spend endless nights spinning in circles… You’ll even die, but you won’t turn around?”
Pretending to be someone is all fun and games until someone pretends to be you.

Jongler and Pluey were dating, which would have been fine if it hadn’t somehow eroded their personal boundaries down to nothing! Seriously, on their limited time off, Battat couldn’t go five minutes without having one or both of them touching him! And that wasn’t even touching on the PDA while he was right there. On the same couch in some cases!! It was embarrassing, frankly. It wasn’t the end of the world, of course, they were all friends at the end of the day, but he wasn’t dating them, so it didn’t make sense why they were so… Like That with him.
