Frantically, his eyes scan every single feature of the ghostly figure, from the posture to the clothes, the hip-length hair, dazzling white and seeming to ever so faintly float without the slightest breeze present, those soft, youthful features adorned with silver scars and the dainty mole right below those gently smiling lips. And then, finally, he meets those big, gorgeous eyes shining at him in a shade so vibrant he's fully convinced of never having seen any color in his entire life before, red like roses, rubies, blood, bravery and love as it all comes rushing back to him because how could he, how dare he forget what the other had looked like in excruciating detail.

ShigaDabi Week 2024 Day 6: Hurt/Comfort
Dabi hates Shigaraki. Shigaraki hates Dabi.
Occasionally they fuck to blow off some steam and not rip each other's throat out. What they have is strictly professional- nothing else.Not so professional however were those brief moments where Dabi sometimes caught himself longing for the other's presence, when he incinerated people and could almost hear his leader praising the carnage in their cries, when he returned to their hideout with his only thought being the younger man's face lightening up once he was being informed of whatever intel Dabi might've collected, when he spent his nights laying wide awake in his creaky and somehow so very empty bed, watching the seconds pass and waiting for when the other would finally stumble into his room again because there were still so many hours left until sunrise.

But what was supposed to be a singular occasion had quickly turned into much more, and Dabi soon finds himself confronted with feelings so intense he can’t run away from them any longer- and Shigaraki won’t let him.

No one, least of all Touya, is forcing Enji to feel the way he does right now. So maybe that's why, alone in his hospital room in the middle of the night, he taps on a suspicious link texted to him at 2 am, from an unknown number claiming to be Touya. He doesn't have to. There is no reason he actually needs to click on what turns out to be a link to a privately posted video, let alone watch it. He may even be able to report this alone to the authorities if he wanted to. He just doesn't want to. If this mystery sender really is Touya, the best reaction his exhausted and grief-stricken brain can muster is that the least he could do is watch another damn video, even if it's every bit as upsetting as the first.
