Summary
Eddie is a healer who has chosen to fight without a party long ago, going on quests by himself for years until one fateful day, he meets a paladin named Sal whose presence is grander than life and whose blue eyes capture Eddie's attention. From that day on, Eddie can't and does not want to get rid of the paladin with the mysterious past, who is hellbent on protecting Eddie wherever they go.
Little does Eddie know his world will be turned upside down from the moment he lays eyes on Sal, who is a mystery wrapped in sunlight: too powerful yet too kind to be real. He offers Eddie his sword, his shield, and a smile that feels like déjà vu. Eddie doesn’t believe in fate, but he can’t deny the undeniable pull between them.

Sal half-listened to the host give his speech, wondering what the hell he was doing here. He had laughed his ass off when Tommy and Buck told him they had signed him up for this.

Thanks to Buck, Sal and Eddie find themselves on the Bachelorette as contestants. They find comfort in each other's presence thanks to their common friends, the camaraderie that comes with the job they both share, and their status as single dads. It makes navigating the shark waters of reality TV much easier. -

“Sal,” Eddie admonished his boyfriend with a nudge of his elbow, even if he was probably having the same sort of naughty thoughts as he couldn’t take his eyes off of Father Brian, who looked up and met his gaze.
“What? You’re staring too! Who would’ve thought he hid this body under the cloth?” Sal said as he kept ogling the priest.
“Sal! He’s coming over,” Eddie hissed as he pushed Sal off him.
