Summary
Jason has worked so hard to try and drag himself back to something more resembling a hero and a proper vigilante. He knows that he's not going to be able to manage it, not really. His morals are just too different from everyone else in the family. However, he can try to be better. Dick's even invited him to hang out, and Jason couldn't help but get excited for that. Maybe, he could find a way to join the family again.
And then Dick doesn't show.
Jason knew he shouldn't have been excited for it.

There was only one thing Scarecrow wanted to inflict. Fear.
In his head, Dick was grateful he was the one in the hot seat. He always had a harder time watching his loved ones be in pain than taking the pain himself. That face was one of the leading reasons behind almost everything he does. Furthermore, he and Bruce have been testing his level of resistance to Scarecrow's fear gas, and compared to the others- even Bruce- he was the best option for this. Right?

OR: Scarecrow makes a fear toxin specifically for Nightwing, who seems to be immune to his normal batch. And maybe Dick could handle a newer version of the gas... if there wasn't also a device attached to his head that analyzed his thoughts to make him face his greatest fears...
What's worse is that his family, who have basically shut him out since his return from Spyral- from the dead- is there to witness his fall.

Summary
Wally should’ve been annoyed. Should’ve brought up how many shirts he’d mysteriously ‘lost’ in the last two months. How his favorite hoodie went missing and magically reappeared on Dick’s body like it was made for him.
But he wasn’t mad. He felt… warm. Annoyingly warm. Like this, this exact thing was right. Like there was nothing wrong with Dick stretching on his mat in Wally’s clothes, doing his stupid yoga, like he belonged here more than anyone else did.
“Can you move now?” Wally stood up fast. Too fast. Even he caught that.
“It’d be weird if my girlfriend walked in and saw you… all spread out on the floor.”
He kicked at the edge of the mat, curling it up slightly. “Fine. I’ll go mope in my room and call Jason or something.” Dick stood without looking at him, gave the mat one last glance, then spun on his heel and disappeared into his room. The door didn’t slam exactly, but it definitely didn’t close gently.---
