Summary
The figure swayed as they brought a hand up and dragged it down their face, clearing away a portion of the blood. The person opened their eyes and started to look around the room, and put their hand against the chair to steady themselves.
Gone was the extra mouth and all its teeth, gone were the fins and gills. Under the blood, it looked as though the person was wearing clothes and sturdy boots.
The person looked human. Grace could see glimpses of skin where some of the blood had been wiped away. The red eyes locked onto him.
Grace squeaked and shuffled back further, “I’m armed!” he said as he held the spray bottle up higher.

“You really just left the Eye back there? You realise that artifact is fucking yours now? You’ve used it so much it is almost a part of you,” whispered Phantom, still invisible.
“Quiet,” Stephen hissed.
“Clockwork gave it to you. You have the power of time at your fingertips, and you’re just going to leave it there for any uppity little magic user to get their hands on it?” Phantom continued, fading into the visible spectrum as he circled in front of Stephen.
“They will need to learn to use it first, and that’s not an easy task. I don’t feel ‘threatened’ if that’s what you’re thinking. The Eye isn’t mine. It’s the Sorcerer Supreme’s,” responded Stephen, maintaining the same quiet tone as he continued to walk at the same pace.
“And you’re basically the next fucking Sorcerer Supreme. You’ll just be taking it a bit early. It’s yours. Take it,” Phantom whispered in his ear.

“Hey, fire guy!” someone called.
Shit, was he actually on fire? Chad checked his shoulders and forearms. There were wisps of smoke but no fire. He hadn’t done anything wrong. A deep scowl formed, and Chad turned to direct it at whoever called.
It was a hero who looked vaguely familiar, running towards him. He wore a dark blue suit with yellow stripes and a yellow ‘M’ on white armour.
“You’re a hero, right?” he called as he continued to close the distance. He was almost at Chad now.
“Uh,” started Chad.
“I need your help, let’s go!” the hero’s tone was confident and authoritative as he ran right past Chad, waving for him to follow.

“What’s going on?” asked Shane.
“The RV started smoking,” answered Glenn from where he was leaning against the RV, watching Dale’s movements with a sharp eye.
“How’s it look?” asked Rick.
“I told you all we’d never get far on this hose. I said I needed the one from the cube van,” replied Dale standing back from the RV.
“Can you jury-rig it?” asked Grimes.
Rick closed his eyes knowing the answer. He thought they’d get a bit further on it. That they would have more time.
“That’s all it’s been so far. It’s more duct tape than hose. And I’m out of duct tape.”
Rick pinched his brow. It would be dark soon. He knew if they gave the RV time to cool off then they could get more mileage out of it, but at this rate, it wouldn’t get them to the Greene’s farm. They needed to find a replacement as soon as possible.

Summary
Wasn’t Viktor on the other side of the bed? He moved so fast Jayce didn’t even register. Or maybe that was because of whatever it was, causing him to feel like the fire of the universe was in his veins, and like he had glass shards in his lungs.
Nothing sounded right, nothing felt right. The only thing that didn't feel like everything at once was Victor’s hand gently brushing his cheek.
“Jayce?” said Viktor, panic in his voice, but it sounded as though it was coming from underwater.
“Something doesn’t feel right,” slurred Jayce, trying to work his heavy tongue as he put a hand on Viktor’s arm.

“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

Summary
“Shut it, Abby, you’re gonna wake him up!”
Grace buries his head deeper into the crook of his elbow, desperate to get a few more minutes of sleep, the movement eliciting the noise of giggling from the room around him. His brain doesn’t register anything strange about the sound, until he remembers that he’s supposed to be in the middle of space. Space, where Grace should be completely alone, and Rocky should be well on his way back to Erid.
He jolts upright, suddenly far more awake. The quiet giggling erupts into full blown laughter, and Grace suddenly realises that he’s in his classroom, and the students laughing at him are the same ones he last taught fifteen years ago.
Son of a biscuit.
He’s on Earth again.
Or
Ryland Grace gets sent back in time and finds that getting launched into space is a lot harder when you aren’t being dragged there against your will.

The man reaches for a screwdriver, returning to fiddling with the gear in front of him, “What, you don’t want to? Are you embarrassed of us? Embarrassed of me? Really, kid, I thought that you—”
“I’m not embarrassed,” Peter rushes to defend himself, “I just… I don’t know. It’s weird. I live here. We’re basically going on a tour of my house. And half my classmates don’t believe that I’ve even stepped foot in the tower, so they’re all going to be weird about it tomorrow, and it’s… it’s weird. But I’m not embarrassed.”
“Great! If you’re not embarrassed, you don’t mind if I tag along, right?”
His eyes widen, and he gapes, mouth opening and closing wordlessly like a fish out of water. He thinks about Mr Stark meeting Dr Grace, and decides the longer he can go without an impromptu teacher-parent meeting, the better.
