Summary
When the team's VCR starts eating tapes it's on Engineer to fix it. Medic loans him a box of his personal tapes on the caveat that there is a sex tape of him and Heavy in there some where and should he come across it he's more then welcome to watch it. Engi sure does come across it and boy does he watch it. and he is saddled with every emotion under the sun when he does.
Alternatively: Engineer watches Medic and Heavy's sex tape through pure happenstance and finds himself alarmingly into it. As a result he is riddled with guilt and shame that he must find is way through :) nothing bad happens, everything is consensual and all is good by the end 👍

Heavy sat at the meeting room table after yet another failed battle. They’d gone through three potential medics now. All of them cowards or idiots the moment the battle began. He’d personally helped Miss Pauling deposit the body of the last one into an abandoned mine shaft just to make sure the stupid man didn’t come back from the dead. Which led them to this meeting. ”Alright I know it took a lot of waiting! But I had to be absolutely sure that this medic is the one.” Miss Pauling smiled, obviously very proud of herself. ”Ok so I don’t know exactly when they’ll be here, they're on a flight from Chicago right now, they’re all the way from Germany if you can believe that.”

It's two months into their contract working for MANN CO. The team of nine hard-edged, barely-sane men had created an uneasy and unstable sense of companionship. Whether it was through forced proximity or a genuine liking for one another didn’t really matter to them.
The Heavy was the only one exempt from this.
Two months in, and he’d only speak when spoken to. Even then, his responses were always rude with how direct they were. Two months in, and he was already the least favoured in the entire time.Medic couldn't get his mind off of him.
It fascinated him to no end, a secretive man like Heavy... all he needed was to get past that first wall of many that Heavy had built up. If only to satisfy Medic's own ego in being the only one to do so.-
Essentially a Medic x Heavy backstory of how their relationship in game came to be! They're messy, they're killers, they're stubborn, and they're emotionally repressed. As is any man in the 60's. Enjoy!
