Summary
Years before Harry Potter came to Hogwarts, there was another plot to raise Voldemort back to power. In order to stop it, Hogwarts must take in its youngest member yet, a nine year old cambion who knows nothing about her background (magical or demonic) and wants very much to connect with a father who had been kept secret from her all her life. Willing to do anything to escape Hogwarts and find her father, she instead finds herself suspended from school and placed in the care of her Head of House, Professor Snape, who is none too pleased about the arrangement.
A story about found family.

KitKat Curtis has always been close to her brothers and their friends. As the older twin between her and Pony, Kit has been the quiet glue that helped hold her family together after so many tragedies. Her family finds out just how much they need her when she's taken out of their home. After Ponyboy is accused of murder and runs away, Social Services deems their home an unsafe environment for a fourteen year old girl. Despite Darry's promise to get her home as soon as possible, it takes 6 months to get her home. A mismanaged case causes Kit to be thrown into her worst nightmare. By the time she gets home, it's hard to say how much of her truly returned.
This story is an exploration of grief, trauma, and healing, while trying to navigate difficult sibling relationships. AU in the respect that Dally and Johnny survive! Please read the tags and the notes at the beginning of each chapter for trigger warnings.

Or, Darry knows he hasn't been a perfect guardian (far from it). He's got plenty of regrets. So when he finds himself thrown backwards in time, reliving all his past mistakes, he realizes this might be his chance to fix things once and for all.
