It's a fairly common occurrence in the world of Proud Immortal Demon's Way to not realise you have demonic heritage until your demonic puberty sets in, or to accidentally stumble across some flower or beast that reverse-engineers your spiritual cultivation system into something a bit off. But Cang Qiong isn't Huan Hua, they wouldn't do anything as uncouth as to assassinate their accidents, or throw them into a water dungeon never to be seen- or to be of use to the sect- ever again. So they get moved to Ti Lian Peak. Or, rather, under it.

When a Qian Cao disciple catches a glimpse of Luo Binghe’s severe injuries, he reports his suspicions of abuse to Mu Qingfang, who brings the case to the sect leader.
While Yue Qingyuan refuses to punish his Xiao Jiu, he does agree to transfer Luo Binghe to Xing Sheng, the beast peak. The disciples there have a reputation for being happy and well-adjusted, if a little too spoiled by their Shizun.
Shen Qingyuan, lord of Xing Sheng, is thrilled to have a new disciple to fuss over. Now, if only he could pull this turtle-duck out of his shell…

Summary
I really, really liked it when Zuko offered himself as a prisoner to the Aang Gang and I was offended they didn't take him up on it.
The Gaang are still good guys, so this doesn't get too dark, but Zuko is good at bringing the hurt on himself all by himself. Zuko/Honor is the most abusive relationship in this fandom.
Mostly canon-compliant. Relationships that aren't cannon are ... merely flirtation. Sorry.
My earlier post "Laundry Day" is actually a part of this. You'll see when it comes in. :D

Summary
Zuko has changed, but he can't convince the Gaang that he has. Moreover, he can't convince them he deserves a chance to prove he's changed. Even worse, he can't even convince himself.
My take of the Western Air Temple with some deviation from the plot because I can.
