Summary
It is easy to tuck a top surgery scar beneath a line of ink, but it is harder to hide away top surgery scars when they don’t exist in the first place, when there is nothing more than ache and need wound up beneath a binder and several layers that can take the dysphoria away for a few hours.
You hate the way that he itches beneath your skin. The way that he is so out and proud and confident, a life tucked away beneath the skin with a needle, a life worn proudly in a work of art on the flesh.
It's hard not to love him as much as you hate him. To ride the line between the two of these feelings so hard and so harsh that you do not know which one wins.
You know a thing or two about art. About the way that geometry flows across every link of ink that curves across the skin. There was math that was necessary to know how each of those beautiful creations pieced together with the next, the way that lines of ink folded into each other, the way that kaiju become art only under the eye of the one person that could make something beautiful out of something so monstrous.
You see the way that math is used to create miracles, the way that numbers are placed together in order to create a thing of beauty.

But one thing is clear: He has to figure out its true meaning because if he does not, Newton's life is in danger and that by Newton's own hands.
