Summary
“Ace,” Garp starts firmly. “What exactly do you think you’re doing here? You can’t save Luffy.”
The brat flinches as if Garp just punched him with real intent; Garp refuses to feel bad.
Ace is sixteen, has never left Dawn Island, and never fought anyone near the caliber of the Grand Line, let alone the New World. And he is alone. Just one boy all by himself. What could he do?
Luffy, on the other hand, has a whole crew behind him, and friends and allies and Dragon to help.
Marineford will be a war zone and Ace has no business being in the middle of that.

“It’s called amnesia,” Dragon tells him, voice deep and slow and calm, but Ace’s head is still spinning regardless. “Nothing we’ve ever tried has broken through the memory loss, but- there’s always a chance at recovery. Especially with exposure to familiar things from before the inciting incident.”
Sabo shifts, a subtle slide of his weight from one leg to the other. He’s anxious, uncertain, trying not to show it. Ready to bolt at the slightest surprise, whether that’s a thug jumping them in the trash heaps or a tiger leaping out of the trees.
“You don’t have to stay,” Ace tells him, dully, the words coming out in a fog. He doesn’t need to make Sabo wait with him. He doesn’t. He’s spent ten years missing his first brother, but Ace has made do, and he isn’t about to force someone to stick around if they don’t know him, don’t have any reason to care-
“I don’t have anywhere else I need to be right now.”

Taking his life in his hands, Shachi leans over into Law’s personal space and says, “I’m going to assume we managed to sail into this mess all on our own, instead of blaming Strawhat.”
His captain, tellingly, doesn’t respond beyond a wordless grumble.
They are definitely still somewhere in the Grand Line, more than halfway into the New World and all its nightmarish weather phenomenons- phenomena. Phenomeni? Whatever. Point is, there’s an island, with a small town, and a whole bunch of astounded eyes staring at the Polar Tang were she’s bobbing in the water at the end of their public dock. There’s even a newspaper, being clutched in Law’s hands, with a rather damning date printed at the top of the front page.
Getting sucked into an undersea whirlpool and spat back out thirty-odd years in the past is a new one for the Heart Pirates.

Biting back a curse, Zeff broke away from his grim debate with their crew’s navigator in favor of making his way to the bow. Geoff met him there, tossing over a spyglass, pointing out what Artie up in the crow’s nest had spotted. “Knowing our luck, what do you want to bet that’s the Orbit?”
“You’re not getting my berri that easy,” Zeff muttered back. He adjusted the glass a bit, twisting to bring it into focus, and cursed when he too saw the bits of flotsam, shining white against the waves in the early morning sunlight.

Jinbei frowns, his Observation Haki spreading like ink in water. “Is it truly so large?”
“Miles of detritus, my friend! I could spy mountainous jungles to the south of us, but otherwise, there is only-” Brook’s foot goes straight through an old wagon he attempts to use as his final step to the ground, and the skeleton’s arms spin in circles for a moment before he topples forward. Thankfully Jinbei moves quickly enough to catch his crewmate, and Brook makes a beleaguered noise once both his feet are again upon solid ground. “-ah, trash.”

When Shanks and his crew first arrive at the quiet little fishing village where Vice Admiral Garp is rumored to spend his vacation time, there’s a kid on the dock who waves so enthusiastically at their incoming ship that he slips off the damp boards and topples into the water. Instantly, two smaller kids (who definitely weren’t waving) yelp and jump after him, grabbing the flailing kid’s arms in an effort to drag him towards dry land.
It’s funny, but not so funny Shanks doesn’t feel kinda bad, so he leaps down to help.
Which is how he meets nine year old Monkey D. Luffy, and his adopted six year old brothers, Ace and Sabo.

Summary
The Jikan Jikan no Mi was a fruit capable not of pushing someone through time, but of pushing time through a person. A person's future self is brought to the present and, afterwards, time snaps back to bring their younger self forward. When Luffy collapses at Marineford, its holder comes forward and offers to use her powers rather than let him have a second hormone injection from Iva. The power is not without its risks, but Luffy does not hesitate to accept. If he had a chance to be stronger—or to bring a stronger him in his place, even temporarily—then he would take it.
He would do anything to save Ace.

Summary
When Sabo first meets Monkey D Luffy, the operation to Dressrosa has gone to shit and he is completely out of options. Desperate, he decides to put his trust in the infamous captain, not realising just what this might unleash. He gains a Devil Fruit and a heavy legacy in exchange and while everyone expects him to chase after the potential power, Sabo finds himself gravitating towards a more familial connection.
AKA The one where Sabo never gains his memories back.
Not that he needed them the first time around when he exchanges sake with two other boys. He certainly doesn't need his memories to start worrying over a boy that should actually be his Boss' responsibility.

Hands scoop him up. Sabo yelps, grabbing instinctively, only to stare as the person holding him by the armpits laughs again, that distinctive, wheezy, high-pitched delight that is undeniably: “Luffy?”
“Sabo!” His brother cheers. His- adult brother. Or at least a lot closer to adulthood than being seven years old. Same smile, same hair, same little scar curving under his left eye, and above it all is the straw hat Sabo could never forget, just for the sheer number of times he or Ace have needed to grab the stupid thing before it could be blown away on the wind.
