    Summary

Viserys dies when Aegon is a mere seven years of age and Lyonel Strong serves as Hand. The courtiers move on, making ready to welcome the queen, while Alicent and her children become relics of the past.

Alicent has one goal only: Get her children out of King's Landing before one of Rhaenyra's supporters kills them to win favor with her.

Rhaenyra has a different goal: To win Alicent's trust, and a second chance at the love she once sacrificed for duty. (And, let's be real, the army of the only faction that has been actively preparing for war.)

Or: That Dance where the Greens and the Blacks have exactly one battle-ready dragon between them, and they better team up before the rest of Westeros realizes this, too.

    Summary

Ser Criston Cole and Ser Gwayne Hightower. Two men that decide to hate each other, until a campaign, a flirteous mouth, a dragon's fire strip the lie bare. Grief finds a body to spend itself on. Contempt turns out to be curiosity. By Harrenhal there is nothing left to call it but what it is: want. This is the closest thing to a vow either man has left to give.

    ---

A sentry laughed, somewhere, at something far away. Gwayne was caught in Criston's eyes, black and wet in the candlelight, and what he saw there wasn't want exactly but grief that had stopped asking to be forgiven, hunger that had given up on shame because shame required a future to answer to. Some kind of mythical figure, reduced to desperation at a simple touch. He understood, wordlessly, that he wanted to be forgiven for this hunger too.

Shaken by a sudden, aching wave of desire, Gwayne slid his uninjured hand from where it had fisted in the blanket to rest, light, testing, against the inside of Criston's thigh.

    ---
Fun flirting, forbidden desire, a repressed Cole and loads of slightly kinky sex. After a bit of slow-burn. Part of the Gwayne/Cole, unapologetic, kinky, and so in love series.

    Summary

Harrenhal was a cold, drafty and decrepit thing.
Criston had no idea how such a place could still possibly be considered a castle and not a rotting ruin best left behind to the annals of history. The place may have not been anymore as crippled as Larys Strong had implied it to be, once, but it most certainly was damp. Worst of all, the wind kept hitting him at the back of his neck like an ired mother and it made him shiver, wishing he didn’t cut his hair so short.

Still, it would have to do.

Or; Criston goes through the Harrenhal haunted mansion experience(tm) and finds out there's really not that much difference between gain and loss.
