O’Dimm didn’t seem at all dismayed with Geralt’s request. In fact, his expression bordered on gleeful. “You don’t wish to see me, Geralt?”

He drove down the mountain alone, hitting every bump and pothole he could, wishing he could see the deputy’s head bouncing lifelessly against the metal truck bed.
