It was his first night back at camp after everything that had gone down, and it was about to be his last. He was itching to leave, to go out there and search for Annabeth. He didn't need a quest or a stupid prophecy—whatever the Oracle had to say, he would go and find her regardless. If it wasn't written in the stars, then he would pick up a pen and finish the damn stanza himself.

The Oracle had said nothing about Annabeth. Not a single line on her fate, no vague hints as to where she was, no clues for Percy to try and decipher. Approach, Seeker, and ask, she had hissed in that unnatural voice of hers, and Zoë had stepped forward, ready to receive instructions on how to help Artemis.
It was hard not to resent her for it. It was also hard to blame her for it. Still, Percy couldn't help himself—couldn't she have slipped in a short 'And while you're at it, could you tell me where Annabeth Chase is?' as well?
