Summary
A collection of notes regarding the research of Crests within individuals residing on the continent of Fódlan, maintained by Linhardt von Hevring, between the years of 1180 and 1185. Contained within this collection is the current observed functions and attributes of each known Crest. This information is highly coveted, and has only recently been made public at the order of Lord Hevring himself.
Research collected at the Garreg Mach Monastery is carefully vetted through the Crest Research Program, and reviewed by the program's Principal Investigator, Hanneman von Essar, for any discrepancy or required updates to existing observations.

Summary
Quiet.
Frustratingly so, because Linhardt used to relish in the fact that Ashe could do all the talking for them. All the scolding and responsibility, all of that used to be Ashe’s forte, not his. Back in the library of the Monastery before invasion and pillaging had turned it all to rubble. People had never been worth the effort for him to care about their opinions or voices anyway.
Why was Ashe different? Why was Ashe worth the effort when he expended all his own efforts holding his life on a thread high enough for Linhardt to watch him fall from it?

Summary
John isn't quite sure of his role in the new and fragile team he's ended up with after getting used to being assigned one all these years as a soldier and a shadow operative.
Everyone else seems to fall into some designation or other—leader, strategist, moral compass, father figure, muscle—all of them pieces falling in a puzzle that John can't seem to fill because the others fit better, and the thought slowly pushes him into a frustrated despair.
John spirals, becoming one with the sofa. He doesn't know that something else is wrong with him. Something darker and more sinister.

John wakes up in a cold sweat, drawing deep, labored breaths, feeling like his chest is about to cave in.
His bloodshot eyes focus, and with it comes the chilling realization.
A sinister shape, pitch black, is straddling him, a figure so utterly devoid of light that it's silhouetted by the already dark background that is his room.
It only takes a second for him to catch on. He's seen this figure before, hovering above New York the day Bob transformed into Sentry.
