A warm hand brushed across one of the feathers sticking out, pressing down on it firmly and muttering something under his breath when the feather only propped back into the previous position after he moved his finger away.
“How do you do this shit?” Dabi asked.
“You don't need to do that,” Hawks quickly sputtered out, yet he made no attempt to move away. Instead, he crossed his arms, leaning a little bit to the side to allow Dabi more access, “I can preen my own wings, hotstuff. Thanks for the offer, though.”
“Did I say you had a choice, birdie?”
That shut Hawks up immediately.

He’d summoned Hawks earlier in the afternoon with a simple text stating that they had to meet. What he hadn’t expected was the bird to be shirtless, sweaty, and his normally pristine feathers in disarray…He also hadn’t counted on the smell…the smell of a fertile ripe omega just on the edge of heat. All this time, he’d assumed that there were no omega heroes. He’d never heard of one before now, but the evidence in front of him is irrefutable as he watches Hawks pace almost animalistically over the dusty floor. Dabi’s alpha snarls and salivates…pretty omega, ready for breeding.

After the PLW, the League was captured and its members await prosecution. Still, many heroes sustained severe injuries, including Hawks after his fight with Dabi.
Keigo is faced with a painful recovery and severe loss of image. He's punished for his failures at the raid and immediately forced back into training to restore his status and get back into the Commission's good graces. However, he can't seem to shake the fight. He can't forget that face. Those flames. The fear.
Dabi desires vengeance for Hawks' betrayal. After escaping imprisonment, he devises a plan with Shigaraki to take down the HPSC by using Hawks. But when he discovers more about the hero's past, he realises that he and Hawks aren't so different after all. And once he does, can he still use him the way he'd planned?
Or: slow burn, angst, pain, trauma, and a gradual build of trust and understanding (eventual DabiHawks~)

“The President?” Dabi clarifies, not bothering to mask the condescension in his voice. He’s never been one to do that.
Shoto’s eyebrows furrow for a second before he seems to realize the confusion. “Oh, no. The former president of the HPSC died during the war.”
Dabi returns his eyes to the therapy ball, focusing on his current attempt to close each finger around it, independent of the other. To get it right this time. “Then who is my loyal benefactor that fell off the face of the Earth?”
“I don’t know if you’d recognize him.” Dabi grunts for him to continue, glad to be finally getting some answers. “A former pro hero. Hawks.”
The ball falls to the floor once more.
