Summary
Dr. Sage McClaren has gotten used to the ways of Affini by now. An independent xenobotanist working with them every day he thinks he’s cracked the code to domestication: be a gay man. Kind of. Following a whirlwind of conversations that bring a fair bit of floret fantasies and fears to the surface, he meet Cyprassi, a male-presenting Affini who to his surprise- wants to get to know HIM. What follows is a whirlwind of broken preconceptions, internalized transphobia, obsessions and compulsions, and a whole lot of unpacking. All while building a relationship with this Affini that’s quickly becoming the greatest friend he’s ever had.

Summary
There's a lot of stress on the CNS Loviband - left desperately trying to find resources and allies in an intergalactic war, a jump drive ready to burst, and now, a dead captain. Left in uncertain circumstances, Captain-to-be Ryder Stokes believes he can lead the Loviband and her crew to safety and independence - while Chief Engineer Edgar Noy doesn't trust him to lead a training module, let alone a whole ship.

Summary
A special weapons program, hidden on a planet distant from Terra, prepares secret technology with which to finally beat back the encroaching forces of the Affini Domestication Fleet. With the brutal might of five colossal mechs, each large enough to fight an Affini in hand-to-hand combat and strong enough to prevail against them, these forces surely cannot fail. Pilot Officer Caitríona mac Niadh and her stalwart steed Xenophon will lead the charge against the villainous invaders, and will certainly succeed where no others have before.
Crysae Convalaria, 11th Bloom, is bored. Lured to the Milky Way by an old friend with ulterior motives, it finds itself unimpressed by the local fauna, and uninterested in the remnants of a domestication campaign that barely consisted of anything more dangerous than the average beeple rager. Considering a return to Triangulam and a more fulfilling posting, it settles on one more jaunt before it goes.

Summary
Featuring a diverse cast of characters, a plural protagonist and antagonist, and a sincere approach to the trauma of violence, Lucky Star is a three act novel that lasts from the very outset of the Terran war against the Affini to the breaking of the last soldier. It is split into three parts, each covering a different 'era' of the characters experiences:
Part 1, Devastation - Covers the war from one Terran's perspective.
Part 2, Loss - Covers the discovery of what comes after fighting, and what it means to survive.
