“She doesn’t even know him the way I do,” Romilda said, growing in confidence with each word she spoke. “The way he always runs his hand through his hair when he’s nervous, or how he always has second helpings when there’s treacle tart for dinner. I bet she hasn’t even taken the time to notice the important things. She’s always liked him for his fame.”
“I give them two weeks,” said Petra dismissively.
“I doubt they’ll even make it official, she’ll probably just want him for a hook up,” Leta suggested dryly.
“Really, Romilda,” Genevieve said, resting a comforting hand on her shoulder. “This is a good thing. It gives him more time to realize what he really wants, what you’ve got.”
