My take on Season 4 episodes 2-3 but with a little twist. I really want Jiara angst and with the release of season 4 I thought why not. This is also my very first fic so I'm very excited.Edit: okay I this is now going to be a slight rewrite for the rest of season 4 .This fic starts at episode 2 and will go to the end, with more Kiara and JJ moments.

It starts suddenly. One morning Grace wakes up with blood on her pillow. She searches for the source and instead finds the cause. Blood under her fingernails. Blood dried on her hands. She does not find the injury until she walks past the mirror in her bedroom and sees the blood on her face. She washes her hands and scrubs her nails with a nailbrush and soap. She washes her face in the sink and finds a tiny circular piece of skin missing from her upper cheek. She slaps a Band-Aid over it and goes about her day. She assumes it is a fluke. She assumes it was an accident. They are nowhere until they are suddenly everywhere. The exponential growth of blemishes causes an unavoidable feeling of disfigurement. She dreams of lepers. Men with flesh peeling off in flaps. Women with yellow skin and bloody lips. Eyes missing and noses bleeding. It is all blood and skin and sores and yellow and red and yellow and red and yellow and red. The lepers having shaking hands that reach for her and claw at her bare back.

Although his actions were on impulse late into the night he doesn't think he'll ever regret taking even a single moment to spend it with Tighnari. Whether it be alone or with their little family, the welcoming atmosphere of Gandharva Ville and the feeling that fills his chest will always make it his home.
