Summary
From a young age, Jake loved to feel the little bits of nature that he could on his dead planet. He loved visiting the country side where he could see sparse trees and grass that the cows and horses gnawed on. He especially loved digging his feet into the dirt, feeling the grass tickle his feet. As he grew, life became....less. The dirt became concrete, trees gone, grass sprouted between the streets and concrete. Losing his ability to walk, made him feel angry towards the world. When the opportunity to go to a different planet after Tommy's death came, he took it. He had nothing on Earth that made him feel connected any longer.

Summary
An AU where after Tom dies, Jake is recruited to the RDA. His specialty in working in enemy territory is indeed expansive, but he is needed more as a guard for the RDA than a scientist's escort. Trained for defense and ready for battle, he suits up in the only thing he can, an avatar. His training is harsh and pushes his limits farther than needed, but he's a marine and he's dealt with worse. Being in another planet isn't going to change that.

Summary
This is a purely self-indulgent canon rewrite of basically what I wish would have happened. For the most part it will follow canon if Jake were a little less of a skxawng.
Jake Sully had never felt less in control of his life than when he arrived on Pandora. Everything that had led him to this point was just some terrible blur and he was so *tired* of horrible things happening. Somehow, by some boon from the universe, he finds light again in a community of blue cat aliens. But fortunately Jake Sully has always been good at rolling with the punches and he will do anything to keep his slice of found peace safe. -
