Lex Luthor was many things: one of Forbes' 30 under 30, the founder and CEO of LexCorp, a prodigy, and a genius robotics engineer. He was also insecure to a fault. It was something he'd known for a while, and had tried to stifle, but the insecurity always loved to rear its ugly head once again.
He had to be very careful, but also cutthroat to make his own moves. And this was the perfect opportunity to rid himself of a thorn in his side.
He needed these men with old money out of his customer base, out of his life. He was making headway, but it wasn't fast enough. Too many customers loyal to all these old names. Queen. Kord. Wayne. As well as many others.
He wasn't the type to get his hands dirty--he'd actually never done this before--, but he had a contact.
"I've been thinking it over, and I think I'm ready. I have a contract for you."

Years after Belos' defeat and the alliance with the Collector, things have settled into a new normal. Amity and Luz are married and have a young daughter named Azura. Hunter and Willow have also married and have just found out that they are going to become parents!
Hunter looks back on the events leading up to the birth of his and Willow's first child.
Triggered by outside influences which stir fear and doubt within him, Hunter wonders if he is incapable of being a good father given the nature of his own upbringing.
As the pressure builds, Hunter will need to lean on the support of his found family and friends to make it through unsolicited advice, planning a surprise baby shower and the public’s fascination with his past life under Belos in order to protect what is most precious to him.

You see, she confessed her feelings to Hunter a few weeks ago, saying how much she really, really liked him, and now he was avoiding her. The girls are perplexed because, there was simply no way that he didn't have at least some feelings for her, right?
TL;DR Luz locks them in a room until they talk out the misconceptions made by Hunter who notoriously did not learn common slang phraseology.

Amity scooted next to them and leaned in to look too, wincing disapprovingly.
Gus was scrolling through a folder full of sketches, and digital paintings, and even a hilarious meme or two.

Summary
Hunter discovers that one of Willow's favorite books is a series of fantasy novels revolving around a forbidden romance between a witch and a grimwalker. Obviously, he has to read it.
"You had a crush," Hunter says slowly, like he's afraid confirming it will jinx it. "…on the grimwalker character?"
"Oh yeah, big time," Willow says, lips curving upward in a cheeky grin.
"So, the fact that he was a grimwalker didn't put you off?" he asks softly.
"No," Willow replies, just as resolutely as the main character had done. "Why would it?"
Hunter stares at her for a moment, utterly spellbound, a dozen different doors he'd thought were locked suddenly bursting wide open.
"I know I said no spoilers, but I've got to know…does she say yes?" he asks, and Willow could swear there's a double meaning in his hopeful gaze. "Do they end up together? Happily ever after?"
Willow smiles at him.
"I guess you'll have to read to find out."

Willow would never, in a million years, admit this, but the way he still called her captain despite being kicked out of the team over a year ago made her feel all kinds of silly ways. The kind of feelings that made you roll around in bed and giggle at messages on your scroll, burying your face in the pillow and kicking your legs around just to get the happy, adrenaline-fuelled feeling out. She wondered if she should ask him to stop, it might give her too much of an ego.

And he hadn't stopped loving her, all the way to this exact moment five years later, where he now sat opposite her on his threadbare couch, faced with the prospect of living with her for the next seven months.
