Traught, whelmed, and feeling the aster, he’d said. Well she wasn’t feeling any of those things right now. In fact, she was rather distraught, overwhelmed, and definitely feeling the disaster. Heavy on the dis, as she felt a rib crack under her hands.
She’d seen him still and silent before, he was a Bat, contrary to popular opinion, Nightwing excelled at still and silent- when he wanted to. But this- this was wrong. The wrong kind of still, the wrong kind of silent. His face was twisted in a grimace even in his unconscious state. She refused to think of him as clinically dead at the moment.
The X-Pit had consequences if you weren’t a meta. Most of them had gotten to avoid them, thanks to Halo, but Nightwing had still been recovering. And now… they weren’t sure he would.Note that Comment Moderation has been enabled due to an influx of bot comments and “offers” for art. I’m not interested in commissioning art based on this fic, if advertising yourself is your only reason for commenting, don’t. BEGINNING OF FIC: Apr 2025
Light has always felt so... bored. Only had one friend he actually liked, wasting his time in school, watching the world slowly destroy itself. He was just so angry. But on the outside? He was a model student, top of his class, friendly with everyone, a beautiful girlfriend, a future mapped out for him. Everyone liked him or wanted to be him, some were jealous, but no one knew the real him. Not one.
From a young age, L grew up in a broken household. Soon put into the foster system, but then soon placed in a house for gifted kids. Come his last yr of highschool, his guardian sold the orphanage & moved to Japan. In the process, social services mistakenly deemed his guardian as unfit due to L's autism. On top of living away from his siblings & lifelong guardian, he now has this pretty boy that picks fights with him.TDLR: Light & L are academic rivals. Criminals & non-criminals keep dying. Light & L intern with the police force to find out why. After a lot of trial and error, Light & L make up for everything, much to many’s surprise. Kira is named as who's responsible for these killings, but in this universe, it isn’t Light who’s responsible.

Summary
After the events of “Hamlet”, Horatio needs a change of scenery and visits the beautiful city of Verona — only to find it in quite the similar state as Denmark. While there, he meets Benvolio, a young man who understands him like no other, for they both went through the same thing: everyone around them dying in a matter of days.

Summary
L knows that Light Yagami is guilty. And he is forced to accept that he will never be able to prove it.
So, just this once, he decides to break his principles and go above the law. He kidnaps Light and takes him to Wammy's house.
He's sure that having the kids interact with a real-life mass murderer will be a very educational experience indeed.
Or: Light is Kira, L is sick of how easily manipulated the police are, and he secretly wants to see what will happen if he forces Light into a domestic situation with children just as intelligent as he is.
