Summary
There was a hand on her shoulder, soft and gentle and familiar. The owner of the hand was speaking, but it sounded muffled, like she was underwater. When they realized Neytiri wasn't listening, they gently shook her. It was only then did she turn her head to face the person, the snarl dying in her throat before she could even bare her teeth when she realized who it was.
Did she really die? Had the great mother taken her? She was so startled she nearly fell out of the hammock she did not realize she was on. She did not register her hands were shaking until Sylwanin's hand had moved to hold hers, stabilizing her.
OR
The arrow that Varang shot through Neytiri's back had taken her life. Instead of waking up in the Great Mother’s embrace, she finds herself sent back in time. Now she has to make sure she doesn't lose the people she loves again.

(not totally canon compliant, Natasha is alive but Tony still died in the snap, Bruce and the Hulk are not merged like they were in endgame, Steve never stayed in the past so he's normal not old, and the event of No Way Home all happened [lowkey I just forgot about some of those things happening until I was already like 4 chapters in, sorry lol])

A chance encounter on the Citadel following the events of the Skyllian Blitz in 2180, leads Kara Shepard and Garrus Vakarian to meet earlier than the canon Mass Effect timeline. Kara is freshly promoted, completed her N7 training, and ready to take the next step in her five year plan. C-Sec Officer Garrus Vakarian has been upgraded from beat cop to actual crime investigation, and probably on the fast track to making detective whether he wants to or not. The two cannot fight their chemistry.
