Alright, so maybe they’re not perfect yet. Maybe they’re still far from reaching the pinnacle of mental health, but Mizuki’s more than certain that they’re at the very least much less of a mess than they were in high school. They’re slowly figuring out the bits and pieces, slotting chunks together and seeing what sticks, like a thousand piece puzzle they’re just about getting the hang of. And that’s okay, because Ena’s got their back.

The soft paper catches on Alhaitham's fingers as he examines the roll. The embers at one end glint up at him, the herbal mixture filling his nose with force.
"Did you pay for this with my mora?" he asks.
Kaveh grins, voice beautifully ragged. "Of course!"
Alhaitham's jaw twinges as his frown deepens. "And were you planning on pathetically getting high all by yourself?"
Kaveh giggles through bitten lips. "Are you saying you want to share?"
