Summary

Summary
Kyle Swift just wants to give Eric Bennett the experience he never had - fun, safe sex with a man, without all the drama that comes with casual dating. He’ll teach Eric important lessons that Kyle wishes he’d learned sooner, things that he can bring into a real relationship once he feels more confident. A relationship with someone more appropriate. And Kyle knows that as soon as he tells Eric about the worst mistake of his life, their trust would be broken, and he would lose the only thing that has brought any warmth into his life this winter.
So he doesn’t bring it up until late February, when he’s started falling in love and it’s feeling more and more like he’s been lying. And Eric has been falling hard too, so in this version of the story, he’s determined to find a way to navigate through the murky waters of Kyle’s trauma, emotional transference, and Eric’s own insecurities, to a healthy relationship that they don’t feel the need to hide.
Then they proudly reopen The Kingfisher together, and on opening night Kyle has an interaction with the newly outed Hollanov that teaches Ilya a thing or two about boundaries, and helps Shane feel a little more comfortable in a queer space.
