Summary
Harry Potter, the boy-who-was-abandoned. He grew up alone and unloved, dropped off at his abusive relatives for his own "protection" then found by Severus Snape and brought into a loving home with the chance to become strong. When he finally gives up on earning his family's love, he vows to one day be strong enough to get revenge on his family who so easily got rid of him.
Harry slowly becomes a badass teddy bear and loves shiny things.

There is a picture in one of the books of a worn young man, heavily scarred with gentle eyes. Remus Lupin, he is identified as. The man who was watching Charles, and presumably Harry. The man who died defending them. Harry traces his fingertips over the man’s face and wonders.
And then he stops, and reels all those thoughts into a tangled knot and tucks it away.

It’s May 1979 and the Order has just apprehended a pair of mysterious wizards who look remarkably like a Potter and a Malfoy. Naturally, James Potter and Sirius Black are called in to identify the strangely familiar strangers and determine their backgrounds and loyalties.
(This would be a lot easier if their captives weren’t convinced everyone they talk to is dead. It would also be easier if they didn’t spend half their bloody time bickering.)
