"It started way before the intercom rang in the middle of the night, evoking the irritation of a very light sleeper Bellatrix. If she should point to the moment this whole mess started, it certainly would be when she offered to help Hermione with whatever she needed, right after the young woman moved to the apartment opposite hers. She had known the girl for about five years then — had tutored her in math during her last years of school —, and the last thing she ever thought she would see was the girl higher than a kite, coming home at 3 AM on a Tuesday."
It was the first chapter of a long fic I was writing, but sort of abandoned. I still liked the chapter and thought it could work as a one-shot. But, who knows, I may decide to post the entire fic someday.

No beta, we fall like Eve.For the prompt: - canon-divergence fluff&humor: Mirandy started seeing each other while Andy was still Miranda's assistant, and like they Know it looks bad, alright, if that got out Andy would never get taken seriously again professionally and Miranda would also be in major trouble... Now Andy's year as assistant is over, they want to stop hiding, and they have to fake slowly get to know each other outside the office, stage accidental meetings and then friendly outings, basically fake-not-date until it's socially acceptable for them to go public with their relationship xD chaos ensues! Maybe the twins know and cover for them (demand idk ice cream or quality time in repayment), maybe Emily goes insane ("I love my job") having to schedule their meetings etc... :D
