Every day he’d walk this way to make sure everything was as it should be. Every day, everything was the same. It was good. By now Nicholas knew he’d take the boring nothing of the day over the consequences of the change. ‘Out of the ordinary’ almost never meant ‘good’.
And his role was to walk the fields, make sure everything was alright, everything was the same and nothing new and unexpected occurred like… a flash of yellow in slowly swaying grains.
Nicholas whipped his head around to where he had seen the movement and tracked the area for anything unusual. There it was. He found it immediately. He found them immediately.
“Hey!” He called out.
The yellow flash didn’t stop and Nicholas swore, giving chase.

Yuuji’s head was muddled with glaring colors, adrenaline, the stench of blood, and the pain throbbing throughout his entire body. There were cuts all over him. His side hurt. He felt death looming just above him, as he lay on the floor and the opponent above him.
Not the best position to win a fight in. However he’s seen worse, and won worse. After all, death was the only alternative.

Summary
The coffee shop was closing soon and Wolfwood was really fucking glad about that. Today’s shift was dragging itself along like… you know what he’s not gonna start thinking up metaphors. It was too long to care and the fact that his coworker spilled hot coffee all over his pack of cigarettes, leaving them all sad and soggy like him, didn’t help getting through the day.
The absolute worst thing about this job was Vash. The guy seemed to live on caffeine.

Flins blinks at Rerir, holding his lantern up beside his head. The wraith merely stares back at him, his single glowing red eye bright in the night. His mouth is covered, but Flins senses the pleased smirk behind the bandages. Flins does not often regret claiming the shining crystal that turned out to be Rerir’s heart, but sometimes… Sometimes Rerir makes his temples throb with irritation.
Or, Flins, a fae who has bound himself to a petulant wraith Rerir, deals with the consequences of his wraith's affections.

The tall man — the Other Wolfwood — scoffs again, pulling a pack of cigarettes from his breast pocket and lighting one. “We were tryin’ to reason with the kid,” he says, blowing a large cloud of smoke into the room, “Make him see the benefits of the situation.”
Vash’s eyebrow shoots up as Wolfwood goes beet red next to him, having crept closer to Vash while he was watching the other two men. “And I was saying fuck no.”
Vash looks at him, “What are they talking about?”
The Other Vash replies instead, “We just thought,” he gestures between himself and the other three, “Might as well have some fun while we’re here?”
“But,” the Other Wolfwood finishes, “The kid was pretty horrified at the idea.”
Vash shoves his hands in his pockets, looking from Wolfwood who has gotten even more red in the intervening seconds, if that was possible, to the other two men. “Sex?” he finally asks. The Other Vash nods. “So,” Vash says, carefully, “You two are —?”
“Together,” the Other Vash finishes. “Carnally.”
