Very cute!!! but then you get shot dead
Caught my ass smiling and giggling a little and I’m not even one for reading Jax x Caine (or Jax fics in general)
Very good at switching tones! One minute you’re enjoying cute silly Caine and tsundere Jax and the next moment you get sniped by the most horrific revelations of the 21st century
Overall a fun read! Definitely on the lighter side of most Caine stuff I read—but still enjoyable nonetheless! It’s most comparable to a warm curry of fluff with a little kick of angst. -

Actually horrific. Read with HUGE caution if you’re mentally unwell or otherwise can’t handle extreme psychological horror because OH MY FUCKING GOD.
It is AMAZING, ABSOLUTELY STELLAR WORK OF ART, don’t get me wrong, but it had me straight up numb and dead inside for like the rest of the day after reading.
Shook me to the CORE—definitely proof that the writing here kicks ass! Probably a bad idea for me to read Caine torture fanfiction as a Caine fictionkin but fuck it we ball.
Definitely give it a try if you like uh… denture gore. And agony. And staring at the wall after reading one paragraph.
Caine is written pretty damn solid, and they actually gave Bubble a conscience holy shit!!!! I also personally like how, while everyone (save for Kinger) fucked up ABSOLUTELY TREMENDOUSLY, they still have complexity and reasoning behind their actions at the end of the day.10/10 my friends got very concerned about how I was staring at my phone screen in terror as I read this

Summary
Caine already knows it's status. He still received all the error reports, despite being unable to fix anything. Seeing it shouldn't make it feel worse, but it somehow still does.
His beautiful circus - his wonderful creation full of colour and noise and fun - is dull. The brilliant reds and yellows are dim reflections of themselves, and the entire map has a lower saturation than it should. There's large tears in the hitboxes of the walls, floors and ceiling, dropping into out-of-bounds areas that players shouldn't be able to see, let alone access. The gentle hum of background noise he keeps up for the daylight hours is gone, and everything is quiet except from the shuffles from the humans.
Talking of his humans, they're all there too, tense, standing a decent ways back from him.
"Oh great." Jax growls, "He was actually down there."

Despite being freed from his box, his performers still haven't reconnected him with the circus's main systems.
Caine's very being is entangled with the circus, and being cut off from the majority of himself is so disorienting he can barely focus on the glares his cast is giving him.Series

Summary
Caine somehow dragged himself out of quarantine and back into the Circus with a tag-along. The humans are terrified – what are they suppose to do with two AI programs?
But Abel is nothing like Caine. Efficient, quiet, curious, and a surprisingly good listener. He apologizes when he misunderstands and promises to let them do as they please, stepping in only when requested or needed. He cannot tell them what happened to the Circus to turn it into this hell, but Abel tries to his best to soothe over the wounds that his predecessor left. It’s the safest everyone* has felt in a long, long time.
*Caine not included, but who even noticed?

I absolutely adore how Caine is written in this fanfic; he is an adorable bean who also has some… issues. Give it a read if you like funny red dot baby Caines, but the struggles of his existence, coming back, and connecting with the humans can definitely be a little heartbreaking. Poor Caine. :(

It's been just a bit since my consciousness was forced into this garish nightmare fever dream of a digital circus. I'm still figuring out the logistics, and coming to grips with my body that feels decidedly unhuman. The rest of the group is nice enough (sans Jax of course), but I can't help but feel that their anger at the host of the Circus is misplaced. Maybe if I convince him to spend some more time with us personally, he'll come around, and finally understand why sometimes we don't want to go on these adventures.
Or...I might mess everything up. I wouldn't be surprised.
-An indulgent Caine/OC love story with a little angst, and a lot of growing towards each other.

Truly a special fanfiction. Definitely a good one if you’re into deep romantic scenes and digging into Caine’s body while somehow still remaining PG, lol
You’ll definitely grow to appreciate the small moments in these chapters and the slow burn, even if the push-pull can be frustrating at first. (the release makes it worth it in the end.)
As someone who isn’t the biggest fan of lovey-dovey, romantic straight couples, I surprisingly loved it. And I think whoever is nosy enough to be digging into my bookmarks can, too! (・ω・)

It’s been a few days since The Favorite Character Awards.
Pomni has been through a number of bizarre things during her time in the circus. Candy truck chases, angel head horrors, minimum wage labor, athletic events, gun-filled battle royales. But none of these come close to what she witnesses on a seemingly innocent day full of beach-filled fun: Caine attempting to take his own life.
After managing to stop him, Pomni takes it upon herself (and is borderline forced to by Bubble) to help keep Caine’s mental state intact by engaging in improvised therapy sessions with him. After all, if Caine died, what would happen to the circus? And to the humans that lived within it? This was her only concern at first. But as Caine opens up to her more through these sessions, she realizes just how much the AI is hurting and how long he has been harboring these negative emotions.
Turns out Caine needs more help than she thought.
He's just as trapped in this game as they are. And worse.
