“Why are you staring at me like that?” Ray asks.
“Just thinkin’ this is…nice.”
“Nice how?” Ray asks. “You like watching me fold underwear?”
Pete laughs. “Well yeah, but- you’re missing the point, Garraty. All of this is nice. The whole…living together and doing domestic shit thing.” He says, waving his hand a bit as he talks.
Ray softens a bit at that. “It is, isn’t it?” He thinks out loud. “I’m- I’m glad to have this. With you.”
“Here, c’mere, baby. Laundry can wait.” Pete says as he reaches a hand towards Ray's hip, tugging him closer by the belt loop on his jeans.

The moments after the Walk had officially ended, when Ray had fallen to his knees after hauling Pete up and urging him forward, when the Major had stood beside Ray with his pistol pointed at the back of his head, two other soldiers with carbines pointed at Ray’s gut, his brain had stopped working. He had heard Ray receive his final warning, the numbers as much a physical wound as his ruined body, and had screamed, “Wait!”
The Major had looked at him, cocked his head in curiosity, his expression unreadable behind his aviators. Ray, sprawled like a broken thing across the wet asphalt, forced his head up to peer blearily at Pete from beneath his hair, but Pete had continued, unperturbed. “I want my Wish! I’ve won, he’s got his ticket, and I want my fucking Wish!”

Ash's brow twitches. "So then why'd you ask me—"
"—Because this isn't one of those meetings," he interrupts, cheeks flushing pink. He doesn't even look him in the eye, which is a good thing. Ash’s expression isn't any less embarrassing.
The silence that falls between them is unnerving. Makes Ash want to pick at his skin, his entire being.
He'd start with the heart, twisting and tearing the ventricles apart so he wouldn't have to feel so much for this absolute fucking idiot.
Ewron would rather fuck it out than apologize to him.
At least, that's what Ash assumes his intentions are, considering his words and the fact that he'd brought him to a cabin with only a bed.
Or, after they argue over Katie and KFC (again), Ash and Ewron need to blow off some steam. Luckily, Ewron has just the solution.
